By Dennis Dodd, CBS Sports: A memorandum sent Wednesday by the general counsel of the National Labor Relations Board has set the stage for college athletes to be paid directly by their institutions, thus becoming employees.
The result of the memo could result in what the NCAA and its constituents have dreaded: the professionalization of college athletics.
