Mission accomplished: WSU QB2 John Mateer hits goals in first scrimmage

By Jamey Vinnick, Cougfan.com: The night before Washington State’s first spring football scrimmage on Saturday, second-year quarterback John Mateer wrote down his goals.

The 6-1, 217-pounder from Little Elm, Texas, completed more than 60 percent of his passes by our count in throwing for roughly 270 yards and three scores, with TD passes of 60 yards (DT Sheffield); 55 yards (Orion Peters); and eight yards (Cooper Mathers).
