The Cal Bears football team got off to a horrid start in 2021, losing a home game to Nevada en route to a 1-5 beginning to the year.

After closing strong going 4-2 down the stretch, the Bears came up one win short of reaching bowl eligibility.

Bears fans are hoping the end of the season translates into 2022, but their hopes may very well not come to fruition.

On today’s episode of Locked On Pac-12, I break down the schedule and predict the 2022 record for the Cal Bears.

The early part of their schedule could yield some wins with home games against opponents who aren’t exactly Alabama, but after that, the struggles could start to snowball.

The biggest question once again under Justin Wilcox will be the offense and whether or not they can muster up enough points for their defense—which has kept them in games year in and year out.

A win at Notre Dame is unlikely to be in the cards, and some tough conference road games also present challenges for the Bears this year.
