Dan Lanning and his staff come into Spring Football with attention needing to be paid to the defensive side of the ball.

With plenty of turnover and new players, with notable returners as well, a couple of position group battles might stand out more than others as Spring Football goes along: linebackers and cornerbacks.

On today’s episode of Locked On Ducks, I’m joined by Rian Winter to talk about why the linebacker position(s) could go so many different ways this Spring.

And yet, the defensive back starting spots feel like they’re even more up for grabs after the departure of Christian Gonzales.

The game, which featured too many missed 3s and a 4-12 performance at the free throw line, was a microcosm of the season.

But it’s not all bad news heading into the offseason.
