With Bo Nix’s future uncertain, the biggest question mark for the Ducks as they look at 2023 and the recruiting pursuits of Dan Lanning and his staff is who will be playing quarterback.

Five-star verbal commit Dante Moore has Oregon fans’ hopes high about the future of that position, and recently a rumor emerged about Michigan State trying to flip him away from Oregon.

Is there any reason to be concerned?

Plus, the Ducks have a (welcome) surprise unofficial visitor coming for this weekend’s game against No. 25 Washington.

On today’s episode of Locked On Ducks, I’m joined by the director of recruiting for Sports Illustrated, John Garcia.

Garcia brings his recruiting expertise and intimate insight to look at Oregon’s 2023 recruiting class and the latest rumors—some might be good, others potentially not so much.

The offensive line is still a position of need in the 2023 recruiting cycle, and four-star OT Spencer Fano has announced a commitment date of December 6th.

John sheds light on whether Oregon has a good chance to beat out other schools that want Fano like Michigan, Utah, and BYU.

Elsewhere on the recruiting front, the Ducks have shown interest in flipping current Louisville commit Jamari Johnson. Could that come to pass or is it just a looky-loo?
