Sun Devil Source: The Pac-12 plays just six games before a conference championship game this year, meaning someone has to really emerge to give the conference an argument for the College Football Playoff. Aside from Oregon, who is the defending Rose Bowl champions but narrowly missed the playoff last season, the Pac-12 needs marquee schools to step up and give the conference some juice in a shortened 2020 season.
For Matt Leinart, a former USC quarterback, he has two sleeper teams to make noise in the Pac-12 that could give them a look at the College Football Playoff. He’s rolling with his alma mater USC and another team in the south division: Arizona State.
