Mark Few: Mario Saint-Supery could play co-point guard at Gonzaga this season

Gonzaga’s two national championship appearances featured lineups with a pair of point guards – Nigel Williams-Goss and Josh Perkins in 2016-17 and Jalen Suggs and Andrew Nembhard in 2020-21.

So it shouldn’t be much of a surprise to hear Few indicate Gonzaga’s newest addition, Spanish guard Mario Saint-Supery, could share the floor with presumed starting point guard Braeden Smith in Spokane this upcoming season.

Few was asked about Saint-Supery’s role while taking in NBA Summer League action in Las Vegas over the weekend, and he made it clear the 19-year-old isn’t coming stateside to ride the bench.
