By Lars Hanson, Huskies Wire: Longtime NFL assistant coach Mike Cavanaugh, who has spent nearly three decades coaching in both college and the professional ranks, is reportedly an option to join Jedd Fisch and the Washington Huskies.
The 69-year-old was an offensive coordinator for ten seasons in the NFL, most recently in 2018 with the Washington Commanders, before he moved into a senior analyst role in 2019 with the organization. He also held the same title with the New York Jets in 2021, where he also acted as the quarterbacks coach from 2009 to 2012.
