By Connor Morrissette, USCFootball.com: Last November, Lincoln Riley guaranteed USC would play better defense in the future a day after firing former defensive coordinator Alex Grinch.
“We’re going to play great defense here. Period. It’s going to happen,” Riley said. “It’s going to happen soon. There’s no reason in the world why it can’t.”
