By Jamey Vinnick, Cougfan.com: When Julian Dugger (6-3, 208) was first recruited by Jimmy Rogers to Washington State, his response: “Where?” Maybe it shouldn’t come as a surprise that a kid from Pittsburgh, who played his freshman season at Pitt. isn’t particularly familiar with eastern Washington.
But the quarterback committed to WSU in the spring portal and told Cougfan.com during WSU Media Day on Wednesday that he has grown very fond of his new home.
“The coaches, they really made it feel like home,” Dugger said. “They never promised anything. They gave me a shot. They said that I would be able to compete. And then when I came here, obviously it’s a college town. I’ve never been here before, never heard of it before. And when I came here, this is what I needed. There’s nothing but football here.”
