Kirby Moore explains ‘four-point plays’ after WSU spring practice in Spokane

By Jamey Vinnick, CougFan: Red zone was the focus of Day 5 of spring ball for Washington State and throughout the various red zone team periods, the term “four-point plays” was getting tossed around by the coaching staff and by general manager Brad Larrondo, who was narrating practice. But what exactly does that mean?

A touchdown is seven points, presuming a made PAT. A field goal is three points. If you can’t convert in the red zone, you are leaving four points on the board, something that can often lead to defeats.
