Kevin Young expects Dawson Baker to be back for BYU basketball next season

By Bjorn Bergstrom, BYU Cougars Wire: The BYU Cougars men’s basketball program lost seven players to the transfer portal this offseason and have added just three players in return, resulting in a lack of depth as the calendar turns to June.

But the team received good news this week, as head coach Kevin Young revealed that reserve guard Dawson Baker is expected to be back with the Cougars for the 2026-27 season in what will be his seventh year of eligibility.

One of BYU's top bench contributors in 2024-25 is expected back next season after a season-ending injury limited him to six games last season.
