Kentucky grad transfer fullback Drew Schlegel commits to Cal

Bear Territory: The California Golden Bears have added a D-I transfer at a new position. Former Kentucky fullback Drew Schlegel announced his commitment to Cal as a grad transfer on Friday.

Schlegel will be immediately eligible to compete for the Golden Bears’ new need at fullback. Offensive Coordinator Bill Musgrave’s new pro-style offensive scheme calls for a heavy dose of fullback usage – something the Golden Bears rarely did while operating out of the shotgun in years past.
