By Jamey Vinnick, CougFan: The battle to be the man is fully underway at Washington State, as John Mateer and Zevi Eckhaus renewed their competition from the spring during Day 1 of fall camp on Wednesday.
Mateer and Eckhaus are competing to be the starting quarterback for the Cougars and after identical 10-of-17 stat lines on the first day, Mateer spoke to the media about his relationship with Eckhaus.
