By Matt Zemek, Trojans Wire: The football world mourns the passing of John Madden, who died Tuesday at age 85. Madden never coached at USC, but he grew up in Daly City, California, near San Francisco.
He was a West Coast kid. He spent his entire coaching career in the state of California, in both the collegiate and professional ranks.
