By Dean Straka, 247Sports: The Washington Huskies are set to embark on their second heading coaching search since the end of 2019, as the program fired second-year head coach Jimmy Lake on Sunday.
Lake was suspended for Washington’s loss to Arizona State on Saturday for shoving a player during the team’s home loss to Oregon one week prior, and further allegations of player mistreatment that surfaced after the Oregon game — it was reported that Lake also shoved a player in 2019 — did not help his cause.
