By Dean Straka, 247Sports: Jim Harrick Jr., the son of former national champion UCLA men’s basketball coach Jim Harrick, died Tuesday at his Southern California home after battling a brain tumor for more than two years. Harrick Jr., who played collegiately a Pepperdine in the mid 1980s and had multiple assistant coaching stops after his playing career, was 58 years old.
UCLA officials made the announcement Wednesday, according to The Associated Press.
