By Jamey Vinnick, CougFan: Washington State quarterback John Mateer got the most snaps of his college career on Saturday and looked sharp. The 6-1, 217-pound second-year from Little Elm, Texas, went 7-of-8 for 138 yards and 2 touchdowns in relief of Cameron Ward, who had a stellar outing.
WSU beat Northern Colorado 64-21 and Mateer was one of several young Cougar players who stood out to Jake Dickert.
