Husky OL Geirean Hatchett reportedly granted seventh season of eligibility

By Lars Hanson, Huskies Wire: Veteran Washington Huskies offensive lineman Geirean Hatchett said after a 26-14 loss to Oregon that there isn’t a place he’d rather be than wearing the purple and gold colors of his childhood favorite team while living out his dream of playing college football.

At the time, Hatchett, a 6-foot-4, 310-pound sixth-year senior from Ferndale, Washington – a small, quaint town about 96 miles north of Husky Stadium – hadn’t stated publicly that he had already filed a waiver with the NCAA to pursue another year of eligibility in 2026.

Washington and the last name Hatchett are synonymous on at least two levels, and both will be back playing for the team in 2026 according to a report.
