By Lars Hanson, Huskies Wire: Veteran Washington Huskies offensive lineman Geirean Hatchett said after a 26-14 loss to Oregon that there isn’t a place he’d rather be than wearing the purple and gold colors of his childhood favorite team while living out his dream of playing college football.
At the time, Hatchett, a 6-foot-4, 310-pound sixth-year senior from Ferndale, Washington – a small, quaint town about 96 miles north of Husky Stadium – hadn’t stated publicly that he had already filed a waiver with the NCAA to pursue another year of eligibility in 2026.
