By Chris Hummer, 247Sports: There’s an old fable, “The Scorpion and the Frog,” that tells the story of frog who agrees to help a scorpion reach the other side of a river. The frog is hesitant at first, because it doesn’t want to be stung. But it ultimately agrees because the scorpion can’t swim, and a mid-crossing sting would doom them both.
Halfway across the river, the scorpion stings the frog anyway. The scorpion couldn’t fight its nature even when it worked against its best interest.
