Late to the sport, Harper began playing football as a ninth grader in Chicago in 2016. He remembers the play vividly. With water pouring from the sky, and Harper lining up at left tackle, he rumbled right and carried out his duty. He kicked out the opposing defensive end, and in the process sent their helmet flying.
