Most of the frontrunners for the sport’s highest individual honor — like Cam Ward, Ashton Jeanty and Dillon Gabriel — star on teams with the brightest postseason outlooks.
Team success is often a prerequisite for Hesiman contention, and as the nation’s strongest squads continue to rise to the top between now and the end of the regular season, that will also drive separation in the Heisman race.
A clear-cut top tier emerged this week on the odds board at FanDuel Sportsbook, where the aforementioned stars have the inside track to New York City.
