By Gabriel Camarillo, FOX26 News: A lot of the curiosity surrounding Fresno State football’s fall camp is about the quarterbacks, but an equally wide-open battle is going unnoticed.
Josiah Freeman has a grip on one starting wide receiver spot, but who will be the other?
Let’s take a look at the WR position for the Bulldogs, by first acknowledging one unique consequence of their gameplan: Fresno State is going to run the ball a lot this season, and that’s a good thing for the wide receivers.
“I think as a receiver, this is actually a great offense to be in, because teams have to load the box [and] stop the run, they have to play a one high [safety] defense, and now you can go out on the perimeter and just win 1-on-1 matchups,” said Fresno State receivers coach DelVon Hardaway
