Fresno State plans on adding quarterback running game in 2026

By Jackson Moore, BarkBoard: The Fresno State Bulldogs may have a new element of attack in 2026. As the Bulldogs settle into spring camp, head coach Matt Entz reported Wednesday that the offense is working on adding the quarterback running game this fall.

Entz said the Bulldogs will aim to implement five to seven plays per game where the quarterback could be on the run. The QBs will be called to either run the ball or execute a read-option concept with the running back.

“I think this year we’re going to try to incorporate a little bit of designed quarterback run game into our game plan,” Entz said.
