By Kyle Ireland, KSL Sports: Former University of Utah softball standout Anissa Urtez made history when she hit the first home run by Team Mexico in Olympic history.
Urtez hit a home run during Mexico’s game against Japan on Thursday, July 22. During the fifth inning off action, Urtez sent Japanese legend Yukiko Ueno’s pitch over the fence for a home run.
