Bruin Report Online: Last year, when NFL offenses faced the New York Giants’ defense, they knew that they could target whichever receiver was lined up in the slot whenever they wanted, because they knew he would probably be open. In drafting UCLA standout Darnay Holmes, the Giants have looked to address that very issue. And the early returns suggest that Holmes may make the makings of a very nice slot corner for Big Blue.
