By Shannon Kelly, Nevada Sports Net: Former Nevada hoops star, Jarod Lucas, has joined Steve Alford’s coaching staff for the upcoming season, per Nevada Athletic Director Stephanie Rempe at Tuesday’s GSR Arena ceremonial groundbreaking.
Lucas spent two seasons with Nevada from 2022-24 after beginning his college career at Oregon State. The two-time All-Mountain West honoree and MW Newcomer of the Year in 2023 helped guide Nevada to two NCAA Tournament appearances and delivered his best collegiate season in 2023-24, averaging 17.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game.
