Former Nebraska QB Jeff Sims one of three transfers visiting ASU

By Chris Karpman, SunDevil Source: Nebraska senior quarterback transfer Jeff Sims is one of three transfer portal recruits who began visits to Arizona State on Monday.

Sims struggled in his lone season with the Cornhuskers, throwing six interceptions and only one touchdown, completing 28 of 47 pass attempts for 282 yards. An athletic 6-foot-4, 220-pounder, Sims also ran for 189 yards and one touchdown on 42 carries while playing extensively in just three games.

A big and athletic quarterback who was well-regarded a year ago in the transfer portal, Jeff Sims lost his starting job early in the season at Nebraska after several costly turnovers. His stock subsequently plummeted but ASU is hosting him as a potential transfer addition as it looks to bolster the position.
