BuffStampede: The Buffaloes will welcome a former 247Sports five-star prospect to the mix. After four years at Oklahoma, Robert Barnes plans to transfer to Colorado. He announced the news on Twitter Sunday night.
Barnes will join the Buffaloes as a graduate transfer with two years of eligibility remaining. He played in 25 games, including nine starts, as a safety for the Sooners before transitioning into more of an outside linebacker role. The 6-foot-2, 232-pound Barnes had eight tackles in 2020, but most of his action came on special teams.
