By James Crepea, The Oregonian/OregonLive: Oregon State formally announced its hiring of Mike MacIntyre as defensive coordinator and safeties coach.
The former FIU, Colorado and San Jose State coach, whose hiring was first reported two weeks ago, will also serve as safeties coach.
“Coach MacIntyre brings a wealth of knowledge as a former head coach but also a defensive play caller at various conferences throughout college football,” OSU coach JaMarcus Shephard said in a statement.
