By Daniel Libit, Sportico: Camden Dempsey, the former University of Colorado football player who helped lead the athletes’ charge in opposing the House v. NCAA settlement’s imposition of roster limits, is taking his interest in public policy to a new stage.
Earlier this month, Dempsey was named to the newest cohort of Schwarzman Scholars, a prestigious fellowship program that sends graduate students to Tsinghua University in Beijing to study global affairs. Now in its 11th year, the program was founded by Stephen A. Schwarzman, the billionaire CEO of the Blackstone Group.
Dempsey was one of 150 scholars selected from more than 5,800 applicants, representing 83 universities and 40 countries.
