The Bootleg: Stanford defensive end Joshua Pakola has entered the NCAA transfer portal, sources told 247Sports. Pakola is a former 4-star recruit from the 2019 class and played in four games over two seasons with the Cardinal, making three total tackles. The Mountain View (Calif.) St. Francis product chose Stanford out of high school over Notre Dame, UCLA and USC.
Pakola has impressive size for a defensive end, as Stanford listed him at 6-foot-3, 310 pounds. He received substantial Power Five interest as a high school recruit, including offers from Oregon, Florida, Georgia and Washington in addition to his four finalists. Pakola was named to the Polynesian Bowl roster as a senior.
