By Chris Trevino, USCFootball.com: USC football made a big splash with the end of the summer dead period, landing a five-star commitment on Saturday from 2026 Gainesville (Ga.) linebacker Xavier Griffin while on an unofficial visit. Griffin also took a visit to USC earlier in the summer during the Rising Stars Camp.
Griffin is the fifth commitment of USC’s 2026 class, which is now ranked No. 1 in the country.
