First Look at new Fresno State RB commit Jayson Williams

By Jackson Moore, BarkBoard: The Fresno State Bulldogs hosted nine official visitors last weekend and are believed to have scored several commitments. Sacramento (Calif.) Grant Union running back Jayson Williams became the first new commitment known with his announcement Monday.

Williams is a 6-foot and 200-pound back out of Sacramento. He comes from the same Grant Union High School that produced current Fresno State senior defensive end Sione Noa.

Williams committed to the Bulldogs over offers from Arizona, Colorado State, Oregon State, San Diego State, Sacramento State, Idaho, and Northern Arizona. Fresno State was the sixth of his seven offers, first targeting him on Feb. 18. Running backs coach Aaron Prier took an in-home visit with Williams in early May before hosting him for an official last weekend.
