By Sam Marsdale, 247Sports: Former USC coach Clay Helton has reportedly accepted the job at Georgia Southern less than two months after being fired by the Trojans.
Helton will make $800,000 annually, per a report from Pete Thamel of Yahoo Sports. USC fired Helton Sept. 13 after the Stanford loss. He took over as the Trojans’ full-time head coach after Steve Sarkisian‘s firing in 2015.
