By Nick Bromberg, Senior Writer, Yahoo Sports: Former Stanford coach David Shaw is now an assistant coach with the Detroit Lions.
Shaw was announced as the team’s passing game coordinator Tuesday as the franchise revealed its coaching staff for the 2025 season. It’s the first time Shaw has coached in the NFL since 2005 and it’s his first coaching job since he resigned immediately after the 2022 season.
Shaw had been the Cardinal’s head coach for 12 seasons and Stanford went 96-54 in his tenure.
