OregonLive.com: Justin Herbert set another NFL record Sunday. The Los Angeles Chargers rookie quarterback set an all-time, single-season record for touchdown passes by a rookie during the Chargers’ 19-16 win over the Denver Broncos.
Herbert’s record-setting 28th touchdown pass of the season, a 9-yard scoring pass to running back Austin Ekeler, broke the previous record of 27 set by Cleveland Browns’ quarterback Baker Mayfield in 2018.
