247Sports: The month of September is not even over yet and the Associated press’ top 25 poll has taken some massive twists and turns. That’s what happens when two power conferences choose to sit out the season and then reverse that decision later.
The Big Ten and Pac-12 decided in August to not play this fall, but were allowed to be ranked in the preseason top 25. But as other conferences played, teams from those conferences fell out. Now, the Big Ten and Pac-12 have announced their returns to a fall season and their teams can be ranked once again.
