By Carter Bahns, 247Sports: The Big 12, and specifically Texas Tech, made a monster splash in the transfer portal during the 2025 winter window. The Red Raiders reportedly spent more than $10 million in NIL to build the nation’s No. 3-ranked class, which is loaded with blue-chip talent and has the chance to make Joey McGuire’s squad a conference title contender next season.
The portal is a two-way street, though, and the league also saw some of its brightest stars leave for other opportunities, particularly in the more highly regarded of the Power Four conferences.
