By Barry Bolton, ESPN: ESPN’s Rece Davis says Washington State and Oregon State on Nov. 23 should play for a trophy, the gaudier the better. “I want to start this right now — I want them to do a trophy and just own it, declare themselves champions of the world,” said Davis.
Davis, who has long praised ESPN Game Day’s trip to Pullman in 2018, said Tuesday on ESPN’s college football podcast that a Cougs-Beavs trophy would bolster the narrative of the two former power conference schools left behind in conference realignment.
