By Carter Bahns, 247Sports: Barring additional eligibility waivers, the 2024 college football season will be the last with players who had an additional year added to their clocks during the pandemic-impacted 2020 campaign.
So long as those veterans are around, though, there will remain an unprecedented amount of fifth- and sixth-year seniors on the field. In fact, some players — like Utah quarterback Cameron Rising and Miami tight end Cam McCormick — have been enrolled for well over a half-decade.
