By Noah Furtado, Sun Devil Source: Four days away from their season-opener against Southern Utah, Kenny Dillingham and his Arizona State players woke up Sunday morning ready to work. Senior safety Chris Edmonds was about to head to the facility when a precursor to the day’s bad news came.
A 6:30 a.m. text from Dillingham to the team’s leadership council read, “Urgent meeting,” Edmonds said.
