By Erik Skopil, Duck Territory: Two-thirds of Oregon’s spring practices are in the books, and so far one quarterback has been hogging all the first-team reps.
Oregon coach Mario Cristobal reaffirmed on Thursday afternoon that senior Anthony Brown has continued to receive all snaps with the ones through 10 spring practices, a fact that sets Brown up as the clear frontrunner to be the starter this fall.
It’s not surprising that Brown opened camp as the top quarterback. After all, the sixth-year senior is about five years older and possesses thousands of more live game reps than any of his competitors. Yet, the fact that Brown has maintained that job through 10 practices, may be a bit of surprise.
