By Charlie Strella, Buffaloes Wire: Deion Sanders has drastically improved Colorado football, bringing in must-see players and placing the Buffs in the national spotlight. But he is never satisfied and continues to try to improve the sport. His current endeavor revolves around Colorado’s spring game, where he is attempting to make it an NFL-style exhibition game against another program.
Sanders got the attention of Syracuse head coach Fran Brown, and the two have been working to make a joint spring game and practice happen in Boulder.
Last week, the two programs submitted paperwork to the NCAA requesting a waiver to hold a game in April. The NCAA does not allow teams to have games or practices against an opposition.
