BuffStampede: Senior safety Derrion Rakestraw and freshman quarterback Mike Chandler II both entered the transfer portal on Thursday, a day after receiver K.D. Nixon declared he plans to play out his remaining eligibility elsewhere.
A converted receiver from Georgia, Rakestraw started 17 games as a defensive back at Colorado after redshirting in 2017. He finished second on the team with 36 tackles during the abbreviated 2020 regular season and he was second on the team with six stops in the 2020 Valero Alamo Bowl.
