By Daniel Libit, Sportico: Colorado athletic director Rick George recently told a hearing of state legislators that CU athletes’ mental health would be compromised if the financial terms of their name, image and likeness compensation was publicly unveiled.
George pressed this argument while championing a proposed piece of legislation that would allow schools in Colorado to directly engage in NIL contracts with their athletes, following in the footsteps of states like Virginia and Georgia.
