Charges revealed against fired Michigan coach Sherrone Moore detainment

By Nick Schultz, On3 Sports: After news broke of his detainment by police in Washtenaw County, Mich., the charges against former Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore have been revealed. Moore has been charged with home invasion in the third degree, stalking, and breaking and entering.

Per the release, home invasion in the third degree is a felony punishable by up to five years in prison and a $2,000 fine. Stalking is a misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in jail and a $1,000 fine. Breaking and entering is a violation of this statute is a misdemeanor punishable by up to 90 days in jail and a $500 fine. An arraignment hearing is scheduled for Friday at 1 p.m. ET in 14A District Court.

Moore was booked into the Washtenaw County Jail at approx. 8:30 p.m. ET on Dec. 10. That came after his detainment by police. Officers responded to the 3000 block of Ann Arbor Saline Rd. in Pittsfield Township at approx. 4:10 p.m. ET on Dec. 10 to investigate an alleged assault, the Pittsfield Township Police Department said in a statement late Dec. 10.
