By Tom Fornelli, CBS Sports: Never in the history of college football has strength of schedule been as important and controversial as it is today. With 12 College Football Playoff berths (for now, at least) and only a limited number of them reserved for conference champions, strength of schedule is often a key separator when comparing the resumes of teams vying for one of the at-large spots.
Hell, some conferences would argue strength of schedule should matter more than the results of the games on the schedule!
