By John Canzano, OregonLive: The resignation of F. King Alexander felt like foregone conclusion. His campus didn’t want him. His staff didn’t trust him. Donors were threatening to pull back gifts. The university president may have suckered his Board of Trustees into a probationary slap on the wrist last week, but down deep, most of us knew this could end only one way.
He had to go.
