Football Scoop:Â Cal had every reason to believe 2020 was going to be their year.
Coming off an 8-5 season in Year 3 under Justin Wilcox, the Golden Bears returned more offensive production than any team in FBS, according to ESPN’s Bill Connelly. A large part of that returning production was quarterback Chase Garbers; the Bears went 7-0 when he played at least half the game last season, and he was set to enter 2020 fully healthy.
